The then rulers of Bikaner built the heart of Bikaner, this historical fort. The glorious fort is famous for its intricate carvings on its walls and the Rajputana Architecture portraying the unique lifestyle of the rulers and other people living in the fort.
- Lalgarh Palace
The then Maharaja of Bikaner built this Palace for his own family. The architecture style that it follows is a mix of Rajputana and European styles. Theirs is a huge lawn on the front, which is full of beautiful plants and flowers that bloom throughout the year.
A unique temple in Deshnoke, it is home to millions of rats that live here. The worshippers of Karni Mata love these rats, and killing any (even accidentally) is a crime here. The worshippers also bring bulks of food to feed the rats. This place is one of its kind in the entire world.
- National Research Centre on Camels
Animal lovers who have an interest in the ship of the desert, Camels, visit this place widely. The site is home to thousands of camels. It is a research center for Camels. - Shri Laxminath Temple
Built by Rao Bikaji, the founder of Bikaner, this temple is famous for the Hindu deities placed here. It is believed to be one of the best archaeological artifacts in Rajasthan.
The museum consists of pottery items, paintings, artifacts, and pieces of evidence from the Harappan Civilisation, which is believed to have flourished in this area during its period. These, along with various objects from the Gupta dynasty, were found during the excavations and are now preserved in this museum. The museum also contains multiple weapons used during World War I.
As the name suggests, the royal cenotaphs are monuments built in the memory of royal family members who are also cremated under these monuments. They are beautifully sculpted and are considered of cultural and historical importance for Bikaner as well as Rajasthan.
